It took more than 5 years for the average american republican to disassociate from their party. I hope it doesn’t take the average democrat that long to drop our turkeys. I feel like a man without a party. I think we're a country without a party. And I dont mean 'middle of the road', which is more often then not just code for 'hasn’t thought about it seriously'. I mean the republican party doesn’t stand for republican ideals anymore, and the democratic party doesn’t stand for anything. Yet all the bozo's in DC still manage to win elections. Well most of them anyway. I wish I had an answer.

Hey Hammer, what if they held an election and nobody voted?

interesting question. I'm with you though. They re ALL so out of touch that there's no way that they can really represent you and me. It's depressing.....

Some things are just obvious. For example, I've never eaten pickled pigs feet, but I'd speculate that they taste better than dog shit. I'd prefer to have choices other than pickled pigs feet or dogshit, but. . .that's our only choices.

But what if the only choices are dog shit or dog shit?

What did each dog eat the day before?

The lesser of two evils has become the way to vote in the past xx years (unfortunately.)

Here in Memphis, we have a mayoral election that I wish we could cast negative votes. the incumbent (working a 5th??? term) has GOT to go. But he will win. There is a slew of capable alternatives against him, but they will split the vote enough, the incumbent is quite likely to win. it's worse than casting a vote against a candidate, I actually want to cast a negative vote to take one of his away, but not actually pick an alternative. None of them are good (dog shit after eating steak) but they are better than what we have (dog shit after eating year old Alpo.) We need a giant political pink eraser.

All ballots need a "None of the Above" place to check off. And if the NOTA gets more votes than any of the other listed candidates, they should have to go and bring in another new bunch of candidates, and do this over and over until a candidate actually wins.

That will send a message that the public wants a REAL choice, instead of having to choose between tweedle dum and tweedle dee.

I can pretty much guarantee a 90+ % voter turnout if we had a None of the Above on the ballots.

The only possible way I see of getting even a little control over the retadicians pissing away your tax dollars is to re-elect no one.
