msd help??

i have a hvc-2 coil and a jesel belt drive dist.when cranking it around with ignition on i am getting a spark inside the msd cap, do i have to ground the coil??

An HVC II coil doesn't require an external ground.
I don't quite understand the question really.
With Ignition on and cranking the engine your suppose to get spark.

If your getting spark inside the cap that isn't makeing it to the plugs, you should check the inside of the cap, make sure the screws holding the base of the cap to the Dist housing are not exposed, causing the spark to arc off of these screws, usually covering them with some silicone helps. I have seen this in the past.

that was the cause of the arcing so i put silicone and it was gone
