I've probably asked this before... but I need to know again.

Is it possible to put lexan into the stock steel doors? Will it fit nicely into the rubber window slides? Or will I have to remove all the stock trim and then have frames fabricated and then screw directly to the door sill? I want to keep the steel dorrs and keep the stock look, if at all possible.

My other question is about the quarter glass. How do I make this with lexan? Do I remove the stock assembly as a whole and then just screw the lexan into place? Or does the lexan fit into the place wher the glass goes in that assembly?

Any pics or help would be greatly appreciated. I gotta get this done ASAP.

I put Lexan in my 93. I went to Home Depot and bought the high quality Lexan that they sell, I forgot the thickness. We guted the stock doors and traced the stock glass onto the sheet of Lexan. We had a nibbler and cut out the sheet of Lexan. We put a bead of clear silicone aroud the top of the window and secured it in the stock window channel. At the bottom we put sheet metal screws and secured it in place. Cost less than $200.00 and looks better than any aftermarket high dollar piece.
