Just curious when & how some of you guys tune . I run the 1/4, shut off & tow back so my plugs won't get fouled. I read them & make my tune. After that i basically race & drive back to the pits. By the time I get there my plugs are black. I pull them anyways just to make sure I didn't burn one up...HOw do you gus do it???

Same way here. I use a old set to warm the engine before the first pass. If I'm playing with the tuneup it will get a new set every pass. Once I'm happy I'll drive it to and from the track checking them once in a while to make sure the strap survived.

I bring an extra set along with me and swap them out at the big end of the track. That way I can drive back to the pits and check them there, if I had someone to tow me back I would might do it that way...

I wish I could do that, but my headers make swapping plugs quickly almost impossible.
