Looking at my Acq. files I noticed that my first and third step timing retard trace is showing that it is going on and off during the run. It is changing state so fast that it is not changing the timing from what it is programed to be at. Is this noise? Should I be concerned?
Thanks,
Tom

Do you have these two retards hooked to anything?
What does the retard parameter do, does it stay steady or does it bounce around?
Is it possible to send me the .ACQ files? I wold like to look at what you have going on.
E-mail them to Sparky@wiresandpliers.com

Sparky,
The 1st step retard is activated by my nitrous control circuit, arm switch, trans. brake interrupt relay, throttle switch, fuel pressure safety switch and Digiset on timer. The 3rd step retard is activated by another digiset timer that is turned on by the first digiset timer to retard more timing at the initial hit of the nitrous kit and ramped back in through the off slope in the MSD.
Please keep in mind that this was also happening last year before the nitrous delay timers where installed.
The timing stays retarded even though the retard trace shows the retard function is going on and off.
I will email you the latest ACQ file tomorrow.
Thanks for your help.
