For big corps. to ship jobs overseas, import goods and have a open dock for doing business... But its not legal to go to Canada to buy cheaper prescription drugs? It costs in the sum of $2000 a month to cover an employee for health care who has a family with 2 kids. This is a PPOM policy and not some fancy 100% coverage insurance. This to me is a little out of touch. Do insurance companies, fat corprate pigs and lawyers control this country?

Politics is a very good topic for me. Me and another board member here go round and round about it. We never see eye to eye on any of it.. But while we argue we also laugh and know these are only opinions and in the big picture mean nothing..

Monty Mikho

I own my own company as well. I am considered to be in the top 10% Here is my problem. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth and had to work for what I have. I do not think its fair to give tax breaks (as Bush called it) to small business and even bigger ones for bigger business. The middle class is the majority of this country. It is where the money is being spent. Give a multi millionaire a tax break and see where the money is spent. Give the average income American family a tax break and see the economy move once again...

You can't give more of a tax break to people who pay way less......Liberal's always say tax break for the rich........the problem is.....I am in their definition of "Rich" rich........when Bush got the Tax break for Company vehicles(over 6,000 lbs loaded) of up to $100 K.......I went out and purchased a new truck......which in turn kept factory worker to the Transport Driver to the Lot Boy a job.....thats what Tax Breaks do.....stimulate the economy.......Not only do I pay more in Taxes then the average american.......I pay a higher rate.......that is penilizing me for being successful.....work harder pay a higher tax rate.....when it should be make more we'll give you a better deal......they are telling me not to go out and bust my a$$....'cause I'm paying at a higher rate.......Look at the rate difference between 70k a year to say 130k a year(Taxable Income) Look at the extra tax I gotta pay....JUST IN THE RATE DIFFERENCE....I don't care about paying more......its the extra "MORE" I gotta pay.....its the opposite of what it should be.......Why do you get stuff cheaper at COSCO vs going to 7-11.......Your buying more....so you get a better deal
Same should be for taxes

Monty Mikho
03-24-2005, 06:39 PM
When comparing the rich against the middle class on a one on one basis yes the rich pay more in taxes. But now take all the "rich" and take all the middle class and add up the overall taxes paid.. Who do you think would win that one? The top 10% can all buy new cars and that would be great.. But the 80% middle class would be more effective if they all bought a new car.

1 person makes $50,000 a year and pays around $15,000 in taxes leaving them with $35,000 to spend

1 person makes $250,000 a year and pays around $110,000 in taxes leaving them with $140,000 to spend...

Now we can't expect to give the $250,000 a year person a 5% tax cut as it would only effect 10% of the country. Give a 5% tax cut to the middle class as they are the majority and not only a small % of the country.

Jimmy Biggs
03-24-2005, 06:57 PM
Lets talk FAIR SHARE......Why should 10% of the people pay 82% of the tax burdon (50k a year is about 10k in taxes).....why should I be at 28%...I am not rich....I am middle class

Monty Mikho
03-24-2005, 07:02 PM
thats

28% Federal
8% State
3.5% FICA + another 3.5% to employees
4% asset tax
2% local tax
6% sales tax
7% property tax
3% MESC tax

TAX TAX TAX!!!

Easy way to handle it, 15% across the board. No tax breaks, no deductions , No comm. vehicle breaks, Nothing.

Jimmy Biggs
03-24-2005, 11:13 PM
You are right KA.....But the number is 17%.....Here's the problem....Accountants (and Attorney's) run the country.....we will never have that change made....Plus Liberal's say that is not fair......its more than fair....you buy more you pay more.....you buy less.....pay less tax.....its whats needed.....but unless you vote for Monty and myself......it will never happen :P

Nope the Demo's are trying to be something for everyone and they can't. You know the saying...Jack of all Trades master of none. Heck I will admit it...I voted for Clinton both times. This last time Bush got my vote 2 times. But I did change my registration from Independent to Republican during this last election.

This tax break for the rich stuff cracks me up.

I know I got a few hundred dollars from the Fed when I got that tax break check. Hell I ain't rich....things have been goofy for me even before 9/11 but those idiots didn't help my cause one BIT!!!!

Last year I qualified for an "Earned Income Credit"!!!!!! I was like WTF.....I am that POOR!!!!

But.....I started thinking about it......a broke mofo doesn't hire new people but a man with a business does. So give that guy a tax break so someone can get a J....O....B

Jimmy Biggs
03-30-2005, 10:45 PM
I pace myself Tax wise......I shouldn't be doing that.....I should be working harder.....to get a lower Tax rate to save money......What incentive are you as citizens giving ME to work harder/hire more people.....none....its a penalty for me.......my success.....that I got it stuck to me.......There's alot of me's out there....We're gettin sick of supporting slackers.....If we slow down......so does the US......GIVE US A tax BREAK.............The Economy would burst wide open

Monty Mikho
03-30-2005, 10:51 PM
So Jimmy a person making $17,000 or less should have to pay 28% taxes and a person making $250,00+ should pay 12% in taxes? Is this what you are saying?

Sledgehammer
03-31-2005, 04:44 AM
So Jimmy a person making $17,000 or less should have to pay 28% taxes and a person making $250,00+ should pay 12% in taxes? Is this what you are saying?Look at it from a service perspective though........

Who is more likely going to utilize government services more the 17k or the 250k?

I know when I was making my serious cake back in the day......I didn't need the gov't or let alone anyone else for much matter.

So from $ perpective......17000 at 28% = 4760 and 250000 at 12% = 42500 to require less governmental services. That is simplifying the arguement but just trying to break it down.

Good night for real this time....LOL

Monty Mikho
03-31-2005, 05:25 AM
Remember that $250,000 a year is only 10% of this country.. So lets break it down...

298,000,000 people in this country. Lets day 65% is employeed...

298,000,000 * .65 = 193,700,000

Lets take 10% of that

193,700,000 * .10 = 1,937,000

1,937,000 * $250,000 * .12 = $58,110,000,000 for the top 10%

193,700,000 * .90 = 17,433,000

17,433,00 * $17,000 * 28% = $829,810,800,000

Now 90% of the employed dont make only $17,000 a year and not 10% of the country makes $250,00 a year. But you can see the majority of the taxes are paid by middle class people. Now switch the % around and the middle class would still pay move overall... Grrrrrrrrr now I have to go find the facts!!! :-D

So Jimmy a person making $17,000 or less should have to pay 28% taxes and a person making $250,00+ should pay 12% in taxes? Is this what you are saying?

YES!!!!....YOUR Idea fails in principal.....Then Costco vs 7-11 under your plan....going to 7-11 would be cheaper to say buy 1 egg(per unit) then to go to costco and by 36 at a time......Our Tax system stiffles high acheivers (me).......You want the country to grow......Tax Welfare at 28%

Jimmy Biggs
03-31-2005, 09:15 AM
SINCE WHEN SHOULD YOU NOT ONLY PAY MORE MONEY(in Taxes)....BUT AT A HIGHER RATE.....WHY DO YOU LIBERALS THINK THAT IS FAIR????......IF US Top earners(not by my standards by yours I'm here) took 6 weeks off....we could bring the country to its knees

Rod Lenz

But it also goes back to who is usually the ones employing others.....the ones with the money.

I was shocked years ago when I was considered RICH by Clinton standards......now I am a broke mofo that underemployed with 2 broke slo azz'd racecars and a RV in my yard looking a West. Va Exile.
