Will these heads support 496 cubes? My 55 at 3800+ lbs w/driver wont see past 6500rpm, how much torque and hp would you guess? My goal is breaking into the tens with my shoebox.

I think for the weight of the car, that will be an excellent choice for cylinder head. I like the conservative oval port. I fear tha a larger intake port, at 3800 pounds just won't accelerate down the track with your rpm goals.
10's is going to be tough at 3800, but it can be done. I'd expect with the right cam and converter.
I'd expect an honest 580ish horsepower and a real world 600 torque.... just a stab.... it'll all depend on camshaft choice, compression, etc...

Thanks for the quick reply Chris, right now the motor going together is a crate ls6 bbc 454 with these heads ,10.5 to one comp, rpm air gap intake , pro systems 4150 950hp carb, 1.875 headers, 254/263@50 duration 620/629 lift isky solid cam. The tranny is 400 turbo 4k neal chance convertor, ladder bar c/o's , 12 bolt 3.73's, 325/50 bfg drag radials. I'm hoping for mid 11's with this combo, after a couple of test and tune seasons I hope to either stroke the 454 to 496 or buy a 502 short block and keep the top end hardware to touch the tens. :-D
