Jason -
We have two drums of VP N2O that are two, maybe three, years old now. One drum has never been opened and the other has had about 15 gallons taken out of it, but was sealed tightly after pulling the fuel out. Are they still good to use or are they past their expiration date, so to speak? They are kept indoors in a climate controlled shop so the don't see the temperature swing that some have warned against.
Let me know your thoughts...
Thanks!

edit: .....and we probably will not use the fuel for another two or three years.

Editted Edit: And if the fuels now bad, we're going to use it to burn a bad word in Jim's finely manicured lawn and kill all of his nice shrubs.

Yep. We'll be ready in...
Two weeks...
Just waiting to get on the dyno with Prock, then it's plug & play for the engine...
Also have to work on chassis squaring, install a starting point on the 4-corner set-up, have Hutch inspect the trans one last time, and then pick a gear.
Just need Jason to bless the 3 year old drums of fuel... What do ya say, Jason?

Yes, sir. We will work to your schedule - not the other the way around.
I know we've taken more then two years to get our car done, but I'm certainly not going to ask you to make up for the time I've squandered.
Call you shortly, Hutch...

The fuel should be fine. If you have a way to check the specific gravity that would be great. It should be around .699 at 60 degrees. Just make sure it is still clear and when you pump it into the jug there are no grey floaties or specks. This would be lead that dropped out due to uv exposure. If you are unsure, buy some fresh fuel and have the tech at you race check the new and the old fuel. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Jason!
Very helpful information!
We have a couple friends with recently restored nitro-injected front engine dragsters, so borrowing a hydrometer shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks again!
