Ls-1 Cam help

I've got a p/n 54-416-11 Comp Cams cam, and a bone stock 2001 Camaro shortblock with 42k on it. Can I put this cam in this block without piston to valve clearance issues. Yes I aleady have the new springs to go with it. Thnx

Yes, that cam will fit without any problems with piston to valve clearance.. I ran a much biger cam that that in my LS1 and had no problems . Hope this helps.

The reason you will not have any issues is because there is a ton of meat on the deck of an LS1 head.....that's why shaving .030 off of them is very common. You can stick with the flat top and get 10.5 out of it.
