Is anyone here using one of their systems?

I am!
Very happy with the RPM Performance data logger. Very reasonably priced, very easy to install and use, excellent customer support.

I will have to check it out next time I see it.
What sensors are you using?

I'm using the basic kit which records engine rpm, driveshaft rpm and battery voltage. I later added WBO2 which is made by Daytona Sensors and the kit was sold by RPm Performance.
Eventually I may add other sensors, but these basic pieces tell me the most important stuff I need to know.

Wolfe uses and sells it too.

I ordered one last week from him. Thanks.

UPS dropped mine off on Friday. I started on the install this weekend. I am pretty impressed with the instructions. Not that its rocket science or anything, just good descriptions of the wiring, hook ups and setup.

How is their WBO2 setup different than Innovate or others? Just the simplicity of having a single box? Cheaper/better sensor(s)?
Thanks

Very simple installation and wiring. Power, gound, and your output to the data logger input. Calibration is very simple as well and no software needed to operate the WBO2.
Randy recommended the Daytona Sensors unit and I took his advice.

For my setup, I already had an Innovate LC1 WB so Randy was able to ship me a small pigtail to wire into the WB and then I could connect it to the data logger inputs. From looking at his website the Daytona setup looks good. I can't imagine that there is a great deal of difference between it and the Innovate ones. If you don't already have one bought I would probably just go ahead and get one from RPM as a package with the data logger.

Did you guys actually get instructions or just the little stickers on the bags with the senders? It's not bad I just have to send them back to get them cut. The question I have is about the remote start cable. It plugs into the pigtail coming off the back of the unit and then goes to the momentary switch which has 2 terminals on it but the cable has 3 wires. What do I do with that and am I supposed to terminate that myself or send it back?

Mine came with several pages of typed instructions, but nothing pertaining to terminating wire ends. Randy prefers to have you send the cables back for terminating. As it was told to me, if the end user terminates and doesn't do so perfectly, the wires can be a source of random issues and worst case short out and damage the main unit. He's most concerned about the sensor wires being factory terminated.
The remote switch as I recall is a two conductor shielded wire. Look at the wire and see if it doesn't have two conductors wrapped in foil, then a bare drain wire on the outside. If so, simply connect the two wires to the switch, cut the foil and drain wire off. In other words, the end user can easily cut and connect the remote start wire/switch.
I recommend crimping on two ring terminals on the remote start wire at the switch for easy servicing and a good connection.

It has a 26 page word document in the help window and I guess that is what you got. I just have to print it out. I got mine from Wolfe Racecraft. It has two insulated wires in it and a bare stranded piece and the foil shielding. So I just use the two wires with the insulation on them and that is it right? I want to get the RPM tach and driveshaft wire and the accelerometer wires in the mail red label tomorrow if I can do the other myself.
Thanks.

I just got my logger up and running last weekend. I sent all of the cables back to Randy and had them terminated. It was one day mailing time to him from KS and he turned around and got them back in the mail the next day. DOTracer is correct on the switch wiring. I've been tracking down an oiling problem, but it logger seems to work great. It definitely tells you that unfortunately your Autometer gauge is right, you only have 10psi of oil pressure at idle :(

That doesn't sound good. I didn't get any of the pressure sensors yet. I have a two stage fogger and could get crazy with them but I am just starting basic so I don't overwhelm myself. I am going to send the cables out tomorrow and hope I get them back by Wednesday. Thanks guys.
Hopefully I will have a handle on this thing at the next Cecil race next month. I will bug you later.

2 more questions........what is a "drain wire" and what is the big piece of shrink tubing looking stuff for?

2 more questions........what is a "drain wire" and what is the big piece of shrink tubing looking stuff for? If like most telephone equipment the drain wire is something to shield the unit from outside electrical interference and should be connected on one end only.

That's kind of what I figured. The big piece of shrink tubing was from Wolfe who sends it out if you want to do your own pin outs of the connectors but since the stuff is 28 gauge RPM will do it for free if you send them back to them after you cut them to lenght. I am good now just have to get familiar with the system. Thanks guys.
