Im looking at buying a new crankshaft for my 408 sbc it needs to have a bbc snout on it because it will drive a f-2 procharger. I have been looking at these brands both company's say that there products can handle what I'm trying to do.
Callies has the Name and Howard's has the better price. I know that you get what you pay for I just don't want to be wasting money on a name if that is the only difference.

I could be wrong but I recall that Howards uses Callies forgings? Therefore you are probably down to machining quality, and price. I know Callies delivers a good crankshaft I have not purchased anything from Howards.

This realy makes me wonder if they are the same crank just different names. They both look like great peices but I havent found anyone that has ran or seen the Howards.

I believe the Callies are available with more 'dress' work. Otherwise pretty much the same piece. I've sold/seen several Howards cranks.
