Anyone running these heads? What kind of numbers can I expect after porting? Any other suggetions on running these heads? Will they be seriously outperformed by the BMF heads?

The Dart 345's are 'as-cast' heads. You can email darttech@dartheads.com and ask them for a flow spreadsheet, they will email it to you.
Flow numbers after porting will depend on who's doing the porting, and there is no accurate way to predict that. You can try and find someone who has ported a pair previously and ask if they measured the heads on a flow bench after porting.
I think the BMF heads are ported from the factory? If so, they would probably be at least more consistent than an 'as-cast' head. If you get the 345's ported, then it will depend on the port job.
If you want a head from Dart that is already CNC ported, look at the 355's.

Greg,
Thanks for the reply. I already have them on my 540 and my builder cleaned them up before they were installed on my engine. My builder did not have a flow bench and I was not patient enough to have them sent out ( that's another story about late delivery of parts). The motor did make 825 horse on the dyno but I feel there is more left and I recently spun a bearing so the motor is coming out and I am going to take the time to send them out for porting as I feel there is horsepower left on the table. With the money I will have to put out to have them ported I am wondering about just buying another set of heads. I see some companies claiming to get over 900 horse out of there conventional headed 540's. 1300 horse is my goal with nitrous. I will also be adding a vacuum pump and a 1150 Gary Williams dominator to replace my 1050 dom which quickly loads up on idle.

I have a set with some extensive work done that flow 411 @ 800. My 540 made 925 hp @ 7000. I don't know what it originally made but I went from 10.20's @ 134 to 9.60's @ 140 in a car that weighs about 3575lbs loaded. There are many new cnc heads out there that flow the same or better. Good luck

Mike,
Would you be so kind to share your cam specs and compression ratio?

What elevation are the tracks you run on regularly? What was the density altitude for those runs.
925 hp to run 9.60's @ 140 at 3600 lbs just doesn't seem to add up unless it was at a higher altitude and poor air conditions.

I really don't know how much power it made on those runs. That was the difference it made bolting them on after having them ported. I ran a piece of junk 1195 king demon that I could never do anything with. The dyno pull was this winter with a 1050 Gary Williams. It made a huge difference over the BG. I guess I'll know more in a few weeks when I get to the track.
Oh, the tracks are 150-200 ft.

I really dont think he is of the mark too much. He is pushing 3600 lbs.
Mike,
thanks for the cam and comp specs.

Those heads can flow with any other properly ported head and make
good power when done right.
We have several CnC programs for Dart heads.

Just for a comparison. My brother has a 540 in a 78 Camaro. Weighs 3460 on the line. The cam is a 286-296@.050 w/110lsa. Using a set of Brodix BB2Xtras, pg trans and a 4.56 rear the car has run a best of 9.39@145. The engine dynoed at 852hp@7200. The weather was fairly decent with a density altitude of 300ft. As of this time we are having some work performed on the heads and and some special attention paid to the intake manifold.
