They all want to stall at the end of the shut down.

My car usually stalls also. As soon as I push in the clutch, the engine stalls.
The same thing happens with the Pro Stock cars. You can see this when ESPN puts the camera in the car. As soon as the driver pushes in the clutch, the car goes quiet and you can hear the driver talking over the radio.

that happened to me once.. right after a run, my fuel pressure guage was pinned at 9psi.. felt like the motor was seizing.. holley blue/regulator combo.. when i got towed back to the pits, i redid the floats, readjusted the pressure and drove home.. then at home just cleaned out the regulator and its been good since.. :smt102

Thats 'cause they're shutting the ignition off when they hit the 'chutes. The motor is not stalling.

Decelling from 200 is hard on stuff there is no power holding the piston down as it reaches the top, it will want keep going up, they shut it off and step on the clutch

Killing the throttle on a high-RPM motor is definitely going to upset the airflow and the air/fuel mixture to the cylinders. This may cause the motor to stall. I don't worry about it too much when it happens to me because I know the mixture and the timing are ok.
I would think that a clutch car is more likely to stall than an auto car.
In my opinion, I don't think that a motor that stalls during shutdown is an indication of a mixture problem or fuel supply problem. Chris, what do you think?
