BBC Moroso blue printed oil pump

Are there any problems with new style castings? I have read that there are some problems with the new design SBC Melling oil pumps. When I received my new BBC Moroso blue printed pump I noticed that it has a different casting then my old one. Just want to be safe, don't know if I should change to the billet aluminum pump or not.

I just got a BBC one havent looked at the box.What number do you have on yours old one and new one.I dont want a catastraphie also any info would be appresiated.I have a billet pump on the motor now maybe I should just keep it.Any opinions?I was told on DRR that the Moroso bluprinted pump is the way to go.I am running a Milodon 31187 pan.
