New Orleans

Saw a show on tv the other nite,showing American soldiers in New Orleans during Katrina.They were going door to door taking guns from legal, law abiding citizens.
Some of the soldiers were interviewed and they were disturbed by what they were doing.

This seems to me to be the very time when you need to have a gun.

How could this have happened in America?

What the city did was illegal and was found to be illegal by a Federal Judge. The city has been found to be in comtempt of court on at least 2 occasions and has been ordered to pay some attorneys fees for the NRA. Now Ray Nagin is saying he never ordered that the guns be taken...

Now a lot of states have passed legislation clearly stating that the confiscation of guns from persons allowed to lawfully posses them is not allowed and is illegal during times of emergency.
