I just got back from the Salt Lake City gun show. This is the first gun show I have been to and probabaly the last. Prices were no better than anywhere I have been to buy things. Also there was a lot of junk there!! Not sure if this is how all gun shows are but this one sucked. Does anyone else know of any other shows that might be better with better deals?

Monty,

here is a list of gun show dates in Dallas:

Now every once in a while a bad show comes along like not enough vendors, but the displays are always top notch.

They have a lot of gun shows around here, but I've never been to one yet. I'll have to go to one sometime. I'd like to get a shotgun.

Hey Carl,

have you ever been to the gun show @ the Del Mar Fair Grounds??? My dad said it was a pretty big gun show. I was tempted to go & see if there are any deals on Ammo & maybe a case for my new 10-22.

thanks mucho
Bob

I don't know about elsewhere, but the ones around here in SE Michigan suck. I really miss the old Bill Goodman's gun and knife shows.:smt089

Never have Bob, seems as if the gun shows in California are ketp under lock and key. Stationed here 7 years and have never heard about the gun show there.

WOW, thats surprising. its the biggest gun show in Kalifornia. I guess that every one of those halls is filled & they have exhibitions outside. My dad has been, but Ive never gone. Im sure you cant take anything fun home, but you can buy some good stuff. I am mostly interested in getting some ammo, but if its gonna be a PITB, then I will just order it on line, like I do everything else.

thanks
Bob

From what the people at Iron Sights told me about Del Mar, is that it's the largest in CA, but is like an "ok" show in AZ. I've thought about making the drive out there to see what all the fuss is about, but it's not like I could bring anything cool back with me.

Greg,

you here in So Kal???

I get what your saying, about the show being an OK AZ show, but a great CA show.

Yep. I live in Temecula, and work in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa. I drive home via Oceanside, since there's a ton less traffic in the afternoon/evening, plus the drive down the coast at sunset is pretty relaxing.

Right on Greg. Yea, I can agree with you there about the drive. I was working in Orange County & living here in San Diego (by Qualcomm stadium) & the 2 hour ride down the coast was rather nice (most of the time, when it was stop & go. :( ).

Same in Michigan Monty..... over priced, but not a lot of junk usually, just mostly new guns that people think we can't get at a store for less....????

And if it is a used nice gun, you can probably get a new one for almost the same money if it is still made.

These guys are mostly rip off artists making their living from show to show.
