what is the proceedure for checking my nos systems flowing fuel pressure when using one pump for motor and juice? idle the motor or should i steady run it to say 3000 or so rpm? i can check the pressure with a .070 nos jet right?

thanks and nice message board, joel

You do have 2 regulators right? One for the motor which should read 7.25 PSI at top end of the track...

I just leave the car off and flow the nitrous system from the regulator. The pump should be able to support enough lbs/hr to supply both units and then some. So pressure drops at the pump should not be an issue. A slight pressure drop will happen on the hit of the system but it is not enough to cause you any problems or ET. Anyway, run the fuel pump and flow the output of the nitrous regulator with a .070 pill.. Always use the same pill when flowing. I would recommend a Holley Blue regulator for your nitrous.. Best and most consistant.. and the cheapest by far..

a .070 nos pill or can you use a 70 holley jet?

What size jet would you use for a Pro-Race fogger set with .028 jets(250hp)???

i ran that same set up and used a holley 72 jet,but alot of people say to use a 70 holley jet as well..

You will nees to use one pill. What I mean by that is not just any pill that is marked the same.. Whatever you use to flow the system with always use that same exact pill. Not every .070 pill flows the same. So once you use one always use it... Do not change it if you jet up or down.. This will help you better flow the fuel side of the nitrous system..
Holley jets are not marked as an orifice size. A 70 Holley jet does not have a .070 orifice. Find a chart on the internet that shows the actual size assigned to that jet number if you are going to use a holley jet...

This is one thing I've always disagreed with Monty on (and others). I always select my jet by calculating the total orifice size of all the jets in my kit and then using that size jet to flow. My thinking is that I want the same amount of fuel flowing through my "flow" jet as is flowing through my kit when it's engaged. Not to say the other way doesn't work...it obviously does as many people do it that way....it just never made sense to me to use the same size flow jet no matter what jets you have in your kit. Here is the formula to calculate the flow jet size in case you're interested:

Fuel jet Diam. X Fuel jet Diam. X Number of fuel jets in kit = (y)
Sq. Root of (y) = Flow jet diameter
