Car weighs 3290 im running 477BBC 725hp at 7000rpm 250shot of nos when the transbrake is released. Running PG 9in converter 4:56 gear 33.10.5 tires leaving at 3800rpm. Best 60ft 1.40 best 1/4 9.62. Would a 400 trans be a better choice? Monty says your the best so i thought id ask. THANKS Hutch,Gary

and you'll get the answer about the above question. But from what I've heard from Hutch and others, the question would be YES you'll be faster with the T400. I have a similar combo in my street car and I'm looking at changing to the T400 this winter as well. Hope this helps, John 8)

The car may be faster with a 3 speed but there is no guarantees in this game. If your planning to use just that much nitrous im quite sure a 3 speed would be a better choice. For that weight,ratio and amount of nitrous that you are using I think you may not see much better than a 1.25 to 1.30 @ 60 best. Not a real huge gain but its an improvement.

The 3 speed seemed to help durability with my nitrous motor. The engine didn't get loaded as hard on the launch and the gear shift with the T400 vs the glide. I burned fewer pistons with the T400.
