I thought and think it's a good idea. We can't even believe the intel coming from this administration and I think the #3 needs to see what we face as a nation up close and personal. She gets to fly like she do because of her title. We have had a failed foreign policy for the past six years. As far as the scarf, it's their tradition. You can not know how much of a peeve of mine that is.

I do agree that when we are in another country that we should abide by their rules, cultures, and customs. That is when we are there as a guest. That girl is there as a prisoner so she should not be required to be forced or coerced to abide with customs, which may offensife to her. If that were the caee. It looked like she did or said whatever her captives wanted though.

As far as Pelosi weearing the rag onher head as is the custom, I have no problem with that either.

I do have a problem with her going. I do have a problem with those before her going. When we have different ranking members of any of the US Government visit with any foreign country, it can be understood by them as an official visit and the words or agreements to be as official. When we have several different ranking members of the US Government vist the same country in a short time frame this has to send wrong messages and does undermine the real Official Policies, (whatever they are) or mandates. When we have ranking members of the US Government that are in disagreement with each other and who each have different agendas and veiews of what Foreign Poicy should be acting as official reprsentatives of the US Government, things could get real screwd in a hurry.

I have seen TV Interviews with the head leaders of Syria and on TV they are innocent and willing to do anything to help for peace. Thier actions and supporting of terrirists groups speak different though.

Only people or delegations that are traveling with authority of the US President should go to any other country to try to do any negotians or as a representve of the USA.

Speaker of the House, Or Senate or Congressman or Senator etc. Have no legal authority to make deals with foreighn governments. You and I have just as much presidential authority as they have.

Agreed Ed. The biggest problem with this trip is there is CLEARLY a conflict of interest. All the libs are crying : we'll your guys just went, how come ours can't! Well, let's use some common sense here. Why would you want TWO delegations from your country, to travel to Syria, likely with TWO completely different messages???
