shelf life of a sealed drum i bought 2 drums of 110 from a local supplier the first one used by year end pulled 10 gal out of the second in nov. 06 havent used any since went to the track this past weekend my S/G car went 11.50 never poped coughed just blackend the plugs and makes no power the ign box checked. the motor was just freshend the end of the summer less than 30 passes compression and springs ck good plugs were new dead black now no stuck seats floats fine starts easy i didn't work on it can fuel die like that???

It depends. Did you seal the drum up after you pulled the 10 gal. out, or did you leave the pump in it? Is it VP or another brand. Our drums have a Phenolic lining and the fuel will rarely go bad if sealed up tight. 110 should last a few years or so. If this is a plain steel drum with no lining, look in the drum for rust or corrosion. Also, you can test the specific gravity with a hydrometer and make sure the drum didn't pull condensation and get water in the fuel. Let me know what you find out.

it's a sealed steel drum it's not VP something our local oil dist sells.. i have a 4.600 bore 3.76 stroke 12.5 comp mtr i run 4200-7300 in a 3500 lb car no nitrous yet but will, would c12 work well N/A and c16 for 250 spray work or can i use the oxygnated c12 or c16 for both i would like to buy one drum at a time from now on.
