Whatever happened to Name Rank and Serial Number only? What happened to the articles of the Geneva Convention concerning prosoners?

Surely the British train their troops to not give in easily to enemy threats or torture? No doubt they are threatened to say what they are saying.

Or is the modern military of all nations the same now days. I can not start to imagine Senator McCain or Representative Sam Johnson while they were prisoners being coerced to issue statements or write letters critizing their country or making any public aploogies for doing nothing wrong. They were tortured and seldom got edible food but did not denounce their country.

Is anyone except the Arab World even believing the drivia of crap that the British Sailors are saying and writing?

But they didn't cave in in spite of torture. The two I know of came back home to the USA after it was all over lean and skin and bones with injuries but never have we heard about them dis-respecting our flag or our nation. Whether you liike their politics or not, you must respect them as loyal patriots that held out in spite of all and came home with pride.

no one knows what might be happening behind the camera. While they are saying that, someone is probably pointing a rifle at them while they say it.

Remember the guys/gals from the 507th that were captured during the invasion of Iraq, they were told to say things I know what wasn't true but they probably had guys pointing AK-47's right at them.

How do the Brits know they are being recorded? There is a lot to be answered there.

I said sad to indicate my thoughts about the current situation. Those folks have not even seen the shadow of the hell guys like Mccain and so many others went through in Viet Nam, and they are already giving in to the enemy. I know it's probably wrong to judge the situation from in front of my computer, but I can only make a comment on observation of the pics/video. Even the original Iranian hostages looked far worse than these folks.
Hey Gunny, did you ever see Col. Jerry marvel's video about his time as a POW? Incredible stuff. I got to meet him at Cherry Point the year he died. An amazing Marine!
