A buddy of mine while in USMC boot camp made the mistake of letting his DI hear him refer to his M-16 as a gun. He had to do that saying to each and every member, one at a time, of a female company, while holding his rifle for the 1st and 3rd sentence and grabbing his gun for the 2nd and 4th...he never refered to any firearm as a gun ever again...
