69 camaro full lenght cowl hood [Archive]

I am looking for information or pictures of a full lenght 5" cowl induction lift off hood that replaces the factory heater cowl vent in front of the windsheild. I know Glasstek and VFN make these and was looking for someone who has had experience with one or the other as far as fitment and quality goes.

i am working on a vfn i beleave and they could have made it bigger all the way around.other than that seems like a descent hood.

im working on a 69 chevelle right now with a glasstek 5" bolt on hood quality is great as well as fit a freind of mine just recieved a vfn hood but i do not know about fitment yet 1 thing observed on both hoods is the center body line from the front edge of the hood to the scoop transition was flat not peaked as it should be......................Glenn

Check out Unlimited Products, UP22.COM there good quality. I painted a hood from them and it fit fine, it had the cowl built in.:cool:

I am looking for the same thing. The only ones who make a hood that I can find are: Glasstek, Harwood, and VFN. If there are any other choices I would like to know. I haven't seen any of these in person. Are there any favorites between those 3 companies. I have a fiberglass front clip made by VFN, will any manufacturer hood fit the VFN front clip or do I have to get the VFN?

any hood should fit but as always mold differences and if it was 5 on a friday or 8 monday morning all play a part in fitment but for the most part i would think you should be fine.
