i had a c4 built w/trans bake and a tci super street fighter converter. the converter flashed at 2400-2600. i took it out and had one built for my set-up that was suppose to flash at 3800. i installed it checked fluid and it flashes at 2400-2600 like the tci did, but it flashed at 3700 once and once only. is this a converter, tranny problem , or something i am doing wrong? the car goes through the gears fine and reverse works with no signs of any problems. the fluid looks like it is a little foamy, i am using type f in it.

Sounds like your doing everything properly. If you are certain that the motor is performing properly and the stall speed has not changed, I would think there was a problem with the converter.
You stated that the converter did go to 3700 once, is it possible you have an ign or carb problem? How are you testing the stall speed?
Let me know, Hutch

i am engaging the transbrake and hitting the accelerator hard, but not stomping on it. i have a stock distributor. i haven't thought of it being the problem. would it be because of an advance problem? i check the total timing at 3000rpm and it is at 35degrees.as far as the carb i know of know problem with it. my car is dead on power until around 35-3800 and then it will start pulling very hard.

May want to check that timing curve, the motor just may need that extra few degrees down low to get it up on the converter.
