I got a 1250 Dom from one of those tricked out carb specialty builders...
It dies once I out the car in gear,I can feather the throttle to keep it from stalling but its far from what I would call normal..
After talking with the carb builder he sent me smaller idle bleeds went from .40 to .38 - I saw a minimal change and the only way i can get this thing to work halfway decent is by opening the idle screws 3 turns (FAT)

I have tried many different setting and all prove to be a waste of my time,
and after 20 years of doing this stuff I know I am not warren johnson but I have never had this happen to me,even with stock stuff..
Any suggestions on getting this finely polished piece of shit to work correctly:smt077

Mitch, when I needed to make an idle air bleed change to get the idle mixture screws back in range, we had to make a pretty large jump. Carb came with 76/70's F&R, and if IIRC, we put 60's in there. I didn't write it down, so I'm not exactly sure what we put in there, but it was a pretty large jump.
