25.5 Roll cage Question

For bars 40A (forward outer funny car cage bar) & 41B (forward inner funny car cage bar), The rules just state they must be positioned to retain the helmet in the cage.

Where do you prefer to position these bars in relation to the drivers helmet?

we usually put about 12-14 inches between the main hoop and these bars.just use commonsence if it looks safe and your helmet cannot pass between these bars you will be fine.3/4 049 bars can be added if needed to retain your helmet.

I was looking to position the bars so they are just to the extent of my peripheral vision, which is about the middle of my head, that would be cool?? I'll check & see how the 12-14" works. Also, my 25.5 cage configuration is that of my entire helmet is in front of the main hoop. Thanx!!
