Its about the engine's a bility to recover after a shift or once the throttle stop is removed. By increasing the valve action, this can be accomplished. Its what I do anyways. I look at the average power through the RPM range and I'll trade a few peak for a few average. The average will make you run quicker almost everytime.

I am going to be calling you early next week about a hyd roller cam for a 427 sbc i am building.....
