I have a ATI 8" converter in a th350 backing a small block. When it was new it would only stall around 3000 on the foot brake over time with runs we have gotten it up to 32-3300 rpm on the foot brake. I just started to use nitrous(175-200hp) on the motor last year now the converter will go around 3400-3600 on the foot brake and when I pulled the motor out and looked at the converter the paint is flaking off. my question is....
Is the converter finally broke in and that is why the higher stall?
Should I be concerned about the paint flaking of is this a sign it is getting to hot?
