Holy crap outstanding question. I think a NMRA Hot Street car would fall into this category.
I believe Duane Busch may hold this record if you are looking for 3000 pound cars on true 28 x 10.5 slicks. He has been 8.97 at 151 plus. 398 cubic inch engine, Victor heads and HP carb.

The orange Malibu is Eric H's car and has been 9.0's I'm pretty sure, but it's not a stock suspension car (ladder bar). Sucker does run well though, he's also got it pretty light too IIRC. I believe he told me it was around 2975 with him in it.
Several of the RAM Racing D/R guys have been 9.30's (N/A of course), stock suspension on 275/60 D/R tires.

I'll let you know in about 4 months how my car runs
it will be stock suspension, hotchkis lowers, double adjustable uppers with an airbag in the passenger rear spring. No anti-roll bar.
It will also have a Tremec.
It will be 2800lbs on a 28/11.5 Et Street for one series and 3200lb on a 275/60 drag radial for another series.
400 inches, TFS high ports, HP750 worked by CSU

Hey Maxamus, those wheels you had, are they 4 lug Bogarts?
If so, where did you buy them.?
Not that I am looking for a set, but my buddy's car had the only set that Bogart made that fit a Mustang(from what I have been told) and he sold them a few years ago.

Yes they are bogart and they make a few different 4lug patterns and Holeshot wheels make a few in 4lug.I am thinking of going back to these.http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q92/MAXAMUS_photos/leavingatnorwalk_1.jpg

I do not know if it was a 306. But it was definitely a 302 based motor. It had a Kinsler setup on top. But I do not think it was S/S.
I think the car and trailer were stolen. At least thats what was posted in all the Ford Mags back then.
Wolford had a 302 based all motor, s/s car. It used to rip off 9sec passes.
So did Lee Rutter.
Crawford has a all motor 302 based as well. Fast as hell for back then
But who knows what any of those cars weighed back then????
