I had asked a question a while back about which fuel to use and I was told C12 or C14. Now I noticed recently more people are being recommended to use CMP. Is this a fuel I should consider??
Engine setup:
Naturally aspirated 347 SBF
Cylinder Heads: AFR 205cc (Milled to 55cc Chambers)
Vacuum Pump: Moroso 3 vane (~14 inches of vacuum)
Compression: ~13.75 - 14:1 C/R
Shift: ~ 7500
3000# race weight

If you want to run an oxygenated fuel, then CMP would be a great choice. It should give you 3 to 5 hundredths in the quarter over C12.

Are there any pros or con to running an oxygenated fuel?

At what compression ratio would it be advised to go from CMP to DRT?

It depends on CR, cubic inch and RPM. I would say to be safe, in a small block and high rpm, 8500 or so, 14 to 1 or higher go to DRT. If you were at 7500rpm I would say CMP. If you are a big block and 7500rpm, I'd say 13 to 1 or so go to DRT. Let me know if there is anything else you need.
Thanks,
Jason
