i have a street drivin 400 ci sbc 10.2:1 compression , motor makes around 600 on motor i have fuel sytem in the rear and up front. i use 2 plates 250 on one kit and 150 on the other.
i would like to run pump gasin the rear fuel cell on the motor , and use the front cell for the n2o, what octane should i run up front ?this will mix with the pump gas.
thx

Man, you are asking alot from pump gas, but if you don't want to run race gas in the back, then I would recommend VP NO2 for your front cell. It will mix with pump gas. Just creep up on the timing. If you want to run all race fuel, then I would recommend C16. Sounds like a cool street racer. Let me know if you have any other questions, oh C16 is a 117 motor octane and NO2 has higher that 120.3. That's just as high as the scale goes.
Thanks,
Jason

On days that I was spraying I would put some race gas in the back as well. I realize race fuel is not cheap but spraying 400... I will bet you it might be cheaper in the long run. Personally I wouldn't turn on but one kit while mixing the gas.

thx I'd be asking more if the pistons can take it !! than the gas question!
How deep is the eye brow, how much meat in the top of the piston??

I am guessing you have the part #12339 pistons. Those only have a .180" top ringland and a .200" crown thickness! I'm sure someone else has a different oppinion but I would be sweating bullets doing what you are doing.

Yep failer could easyly happen : lifting ring land, or actually burning off ,
or melting a hole in the eye brow center!!
