The Gunny's favorite Republican diplomat is on the hot seat in Congress. L. Paul Bremer is the bozo that fired the Iraqi army (and let them keep their weapons) and then fired all the important members of the Iraqi government. The result is after 4 years, we don't have much of an Iraqi army or government in place. Of course, Bremer didn't make these stupid decisions on his own, he had help (from Bush and Cheney).
At one point in this "transition", Bremer authorized sending money from American taxpayers to Iraq, in the form of cash of course. $12 billion of it in fact, shrink wrapped into $400,000 bricks, all 363 tons of it, carried on C-130 cargo planes. Where is this money? Well, that's what the new Democratic Congress would like to know.
Gunny, you always like to stick up for this administration, how come that when the Repubs were in control of Congress, they didn't seem to care where the loot went or who got it? Did you get any of it?
