Well, that organazation would have a field day with me. I absolutely refuse to use the word *gay* to describe a queer or homosexual or lesbian.
Gay = Happy
gay = joyful
gay = a person's last name
THEY took the word of Gay and attached it to themselves. I do not, and will not ever call a queer as gay. I will be a little diplomatic though and will concede to using the word of homosexual, and lesbian to name them, if or when I feel like it. The rest of the time to me they are as they have always been, *queer*.

What is it with all these special interest groups and their "power" over some people....Don't get me wrong, I think Paris and Nikki should disappear tomorrow, but I also think if you speak out about something you feel that should be the end of it.....don't like my views then avoid me!
Some folks though WILL make apologies for saying what they SAID and bend over to satisfy the "offended" group even if it goes against everything they believe.
At least when the Catholic Pope offended the Muslims by quoting a 14th Century Emperor he had the stones to stand by what he felt.... he appologized that it OFFENDED them......He did NOT appologize for SAYING it, nor did he retract his statement and try to act like he never said it....

Exactly SilverFox. I agree with every word you wrote above with one possible exception. Anyone that feels "offended" by what someone else says, CHOOSES to feel offended. It's the other persons choice to feel how they want to feel. It's like "hurting someone elses feelings". This can't be done. Only the one doing the feeling can decide how he or she wants to feel, in my opinion.

I prefer to call them by their original names, that date back to prehistoric times
Lickalotapuss and Megasorass.
To be my politically correct self, I now refer to them as Carpet munchers and Fudgepackers.
In all honesty, I could care less what "they" do in their homes. Its when that shit is forced on me, or my family, that I get defensive, and in turn, offensive. I don't think they need special rights. Its their choice to do what they want, fine. But don't make ME make special concessions for them.

I had a guy come work for me in New Orleans several years ago that was from England...Got close to break and he asked if it was okay for him to step out side and blow a fag real quick..needless to say he got several weird looks, I told him what he did on his time was his business....he figured out pretty quick what we were thinking, LOL

Boy you said a mothfull there! My ex-wife was always yapping about how I made her feel guilty.....made her feel inadequate....made her feel yadda, yadda, yadda.......I finally told her one day, "well then you NEED HELP, because NOBODY can MAKE anybody "FEEL" anything they don't want to..... I don't feel guilty unless I KNOW I've done something wrong, and NOBODY can "MAKE" me feel inadequate......When I have THAT feeling I know I need more training or need to work a few extra hours or something!!!!!!!

Our feelings (our emotions) are all our choice. We can choose to feel happy, sad, angry, guilty, whaterver, it's all our own choice. Nobody can choose how we feel but ourselves. You brought up guilt, feeling "guilty". This is very simular to feeling "worry". The only real difference is that one of these emotions is from something that happened in the past (guilt) and one an emotion that may happen in the future (worry). We can't change the past, so let it be. And as to the future, whatever MAY happen may also NOT happen, kind of a wasted emotion. It's one thing to PLAN for the future or a future event but it's quite another to worry about a future event. Both wasted emotions in my opinion. We don't live in the past and we don't live in the future, we live NOW, this minute. So much of this shit is just in our minds anyway and our minds are easy to change, if we let it. Change your mind, change your life.

SilverFox, you devil. Don't be trying to butter me up. Besides, in order to be motivated, you need to be willing to have an open mind.
