Gear Ratio X MPH X 336 divided by the tire diameter will give you the RPM with no converter slippage.
Take the finish line rpm and compare it to the calculated rpm and see what the difference is in % and thats slippage. You will have some and to reduce that number does not neccessarily mean the car will be faster or that the converter is no good.
Tire growth calculations can be added also. All tire/rim combinations are different so growth can be hard to calculate but its roughly 2-3% for every 100 mph and thats just a guess but it will get you close.
This may not be the best method or the easiest but it works for me.
Hope this helps,Hutch
