Jim, I just had my car stripped. I went to a place that does soda stripping and they did my fiberglass bumper and urethane rear bumper without any problems. here is his website and it tells you about soda stripping. he is in illinois right by rt 66.
hope this helps.

Jim sorry for not gettn back to ya sooner verry buisy at both shops, soda stripping is a nice way to go and is recomended, but if the funds or a place to have that done isnt there then its called sanding takes a little time but you can still get great results. Again sorry for not getting back to you sooner. McCoy's Auto Creations. Keith

Good old sanding is the best way to go for this situation. Soda blasting would work well, but not he most cost effective and often not that convenient.

sanding and the chemical stripping can both mess the parts up if not done properly. if your not familiar with working with a sander, you can sand divits into the plastic/urethane piece resulting in you having to apply body filler over the part. chemical stripping, with the stuff from SEM, can sometimes swell up the plastic making it look all bumpy. soda blasting or replacing the part will be your easiest route. it may cost a little more, but you will avoid possible problems down the road. hope this helps
