Using the 3 bar map sensor. Anybody use one of these things successfully?

I reversed the solenoids and it seem to work now. I think the instructions were WRONG!

The MSD controller is what I use and I love it.

It works good but it is a little complicated. Takes a while to get used to.

I like that thing but the instructions are crap on witch way to ste up the valves. Then the wires are all the same color on the valves. My first one craped the bed on me at the track. Just wouldnt power on. Thats after I had the tuner brought to the track $300 for the day and about 400 in other crap. Waste of a day. Went on and bought the AMS 1000

More explaination,
It seem to be working opposite.
We were shooting for 10 psi of boost and got 28 before I could lift.
We then hooked up an airhose to the map sensor and slowly turned up the pressure to the target pressure and slightly beyond. When the target pressure was reached, we noticed that the controller was still trying to pressurize the wastegates. When we dropped below the target, pressure was eliminated from the gates. I swapped the solenoids and we will try this on the chassis dyno again. I will keep you posted.

When plotting your boost curve you are using atmospheric pressure that the controller is giving you and then adding your desired boost number to that correct? EX: 14.3 reference pressure and desired max boost of 10 lbs= 24.3 lbs

I would just like to add that old pontiac is probably one of the coolest cars around! Good job.

We will be going back to the chassis dyno soon. I'll let you know if reversing the solenoids helps. If it doesn't we will try putting the map on the gates.
Thanks for all the responses!

If I remember correctly the instructions say two different things depending where you look. I originally hooked mine up backward too. I was scratching my head for a while until I reversed the wires. I thought it was printed differently somewhere else in the manual.
