I have a shit load of holes (screw/bolt...ect) in the floorboard of my car and I am in the process of redoing the carpet but I want to fill the holes to keep of the fumes. Anyone have any suggestions on a easy method that will last and not cost me a house or take me for ever to do?

If you have use of a mig welder I would try to weld some new metal in those places and the put what they call seam sealer around the welds. And yes there is a metal tape out there that is very strong, Iwouldnt recommend it but its cheap and should hold for quite a while, you can find that tape at lowes or any hardware store in the heating and cooling section. like said weld it would be best
but you can cheat and do what i said
and then seal it from moisture so it doesnt rust out later
depends on what you think is best for your application

the tape will only stick for so long as from oil or heat under the car plus any movement the carpet might do above it.
the way i fill holes is to mig weld them and smooth them out and use seam sealer.

back all the hole w/masking tape and have one of those truck liner guys spray the shit out of you floor boards!Pull the tape when dry.Fairly cheap/fast/looks pretty good/seals/lasts FOREVER/sound deadener too.

A few hours with a mig and a grinder, and its done RIGHT.

Flatten a piece of copper tubing, put a bend in it for a handle.

Have someone hold that under the hole (the weld wont stick to the copper) Plug weld the hole.

Weld it, grind it paint it and be done.

Don't cob it.

Second that, do it right the first time. I'm doing the same thing, thought the car would be done last year, but i'm taking my time and making it right.

Cut out some sheetmetal to overlap the holes about a 1/4 inch all the way around the hole.buy some Fusor bonding adhesive (at a local body shop supply store). apply it to the edges and stick it.make sure its all clean and scuffed.we use it to glue roofs and 1/4 panel and door panels on.stronger than welding and no worries about burning something welding.
