Ok, so currently the fastest I have gotten my nova is 13.44 @106. The combo in this car is really mismatched, I have a 350 .040 over +4 dome pistons ,race prepped 58cc heads with 2.02 valves and 1.5 roller rockers yeilding 12-1 compression, a Skat crank and rods with stock stroke, a Comp Cams Magnum Solid Cam with 294 duration and .525 lift, weiand team g intake port matched to the heads, Barry Grant 850 mechanical secondary speed demon 110 octane sunoco. I have a mallory dual point dist. that has been converted with a pertronix ignitor 2, mechanical advance locked out, timing at 36 degrees btdc and a msd6al box. I am running a Th350 with a stage 2 transgo shift kit , 2800 B&M converter and a gm 10 bolt 8.5 posi , strange axles with 3:73 gears caltrac bars and multi leafs. I have 3 way adjustable shocks front and rear and moroso trick springs in front. the car with me in it weights in at 3500.
I would like to run low 10's.
I was looking at buying a bill mitchell 427 short block, use a set of afr 220 cnc heads and ati d-1sc. my intake and carb and then picking a new cam. this seems like overkill to me for this e.t.
I am looking for some recomendations on what engine combination( size, intake, carb, cam) could get me in the low 10's using the d-1sc charger, afr heads.
does anyone have a small block combo with this charger that runs these times? what are you running?
Im also changing the trans to a purpose built 350 with a brake and 4000 stall, is this the right stall? I drive on the street as well

Don't limit yourself with a d-1sc. At least do a F-1. Why go low tens when you can very easy run high nines with a F-1.

well i will mainly be running with IMSM and i cant run a f-1 due to rules, I can run any index class with anything, but after 10.5 index rules become incorporated and they state no aftermarket blocks and i can only use p or d -1sc. if I can get the car running 10.5 for imsm and then a flat 10 with a pully swap i can run the 10.5 index for imsm and either true street in nmca or a 10.0 index in nmca. then the next indexes without these rules is 8.6 and 7.5 and i cant afford that fast.
what is the base hp of your small block without the charger, what e.t. does it run without
here is what im limited to for imsm if i dont run a index class
1. Approved superchargers by IMSM are as
follows Vortech V-2 SQ S Trim, Vortech V-1 S
Trim, Vortech YS Trim, ATI P-1SC, ATI P-
1SC-1, ATI P-1SC-2, ATI D-1, ATI D-1SC,
PAXTON NOVI 1200, PAXTON NOVI 2000

we can do that, we gonna talk about the rules, or my engine? cause if its rules phils the man to talk to , he has em set in stone for the first 4 races, i tried getting him to budge on the aftermarket block but, not gonna happen.
I was originally going to buy a motown 427 and a set of afr 220 slap on a f-1 or f-2 and go balls out but im thinking i would be somwhere in the 8's and i dont think i can afford that. I need to find a conservatine approach to this. I dont want junk parts but im looking at prolly a 6-7k budget for the complete setup.
so i was thinking maybe take my 357 and put a 4340 crank and rods, flattop forged pistons, afr 220 heads, my team g intake and sell my demon to get a blow through, add the d-1sc and see where i end up. kinda why im asking around so i can get an idea of what i need to do to be where i want to be

so I have done a little checking and I was informed that I could build a 500hp small block and add the d-1sc put 12psi boost to it and i should make around 800 rwhp. this should put a 3500lb car to a 10 flat.
do these number sound about right?
and if so does anyone have a good quality, inexpensive small block blower build they could tell me.

well i think thats the way i need to go, Ill strip my 357 and salvage the scat crank into my dads 67 camaro street cruiser build and ditch the stock rods and kb pistons for some new internals, get the afr heads and the charger.
now should i keep the team g intake, or go with a edelbrock air gap, what would a good cam be for this build and what internals should i use that will hold up and be dependable?
anyone intersted in buying a 850 speed demon with 3 runs on it? or trade for a blow through?
which 210's did you buy ? the spec head, the race ready or the cnc?

What is the base hp of your small block without the charger, what e.t. does it run without It made 498 hp at 7200 rpm and 447 ftlb of torque at 5200 rpm on the dyno at the crank. When I put the 50 tooth pully on my F-2 it will be making around 25 pounds of boost at 7000 rpm and should put the hp around 1000. I have a 54 tooth pulley on the blower right now and the motor is making around 800 to 900 hp and my best pass was 9.20 at 150 mph. The best the car ran on motor is 11.30s. I also had a NOS big shot kit on this same motor with a 300 hp reverse jet tune up the car ran a best of 9.86 at 136 mph. It is not uncommon to see 100% hp gains with a Procharger motor with a good tune up. The 18 degree 377ci. motor I am building right now should make around 1200 to 1300 hp non intercooled and still be streetable.

If you dont mind me asking, how much do you have invested in the motor alone? The reason I ask is im trying to figure out if i would be better to mimic your build and just run the D-1SC or if I would be better off (cost wise) to purchase the bill mitchell 427 I was originally looking at. If i go the 427 route, I figure ill have around 6-7k in it. If i go that route ill have to wait a year to get the charger, and Ill run just motor this year, but if I can build my 357 dependably for around 4k then I can charge it this year. If you dont mind me asking what are the specs on your 355 and your 377? what internals do you recomend for this build?
