NEW COMBO /TRUE STREET

:smt073 HELLO,im new to this board it seems to me its gear for blow through carb power adder which i like .i finished my new combo its a steve morris 477 in bbc d3r csu carb 1531 hp @ 25lbs 7000.:o i plan on running some d.o.t events and nmca true street and some scc. my car is not 25.5 cert so i can only run 8.50s or what ever i can get away with..........

I was wondering if you would like to comment about the engine a little more.I'm condsidering building a BBC blow thru set. how much torque did it make,what compression,heads, pump gas. Any info would be appreciated. PM me if you like.

Oddly enough! Adding cubes and more boost to a GN is the best way to make it better!!:eek: Very nice, looking forward to seeing it in action!

477".....is that a 4.500" bore and 4.00" stroke?

Its 454 destroked its steves morris combo. i left the build sheet at his shop im going back to pick it up.If you were to guess what type of times should it run......... 3100 lbs stock susp car with all after market stuff wolf bar, tubular upper and lowers and atr bar, air bags its all ready been 9.26 at 155 mph on easy pass on v6 but its gone.........

I'd guess traction limited mid-8's at mid-16x's mph.......just a guess based on your old combo. You had enough MPH there before to go 8.6's but only went 9.2x's. If you could hook it up, it'd go high 7's probably.

thanks for the info about the engine. was that 1200 torque at redline or did it flat line at 1200 ft/lb from say 5500-700rpm.

477= 4.50 bore x 3.750 or 3.760 stroke

4.500 bore x 4.0 stroke = 509

I'd guess traction limited mid-8's at mid-16x's mph.......just a guess based on your old combo. You had enough MPH there before to go 8.6's but only went 9.2x's. If you could hook it up, it'd go high 7's probably.

509 = 4.5 x 4.0Actually it made power up to 7000 and then 7100 it started dropping off but we took it to 7500.the torque drop off at 6600.That was on 110 .what i thought was kool was at 4800 it made 1208 hp. :eek: i video taped the 4 dyno pulls and im trying to convert them so i can post them soon...........
