im building a 4l60e 1995 modle pwm pump and the tcc valve is very diffrent from what i have seen, this one has a plastic valve with a metal rod going through it.. anyone know what it is?? or seen one? thanks for the help
its the tcc clutch valve in the pump.

sounds like its transgo valve you use to block off lockup but pictures would help

well thats going to be hard to do dont have a camra... but ill see if i can surf the web and find one and stick on here.. but ya, its a plastic valve with a metal rod going through it.. weird ive never seen one.. do you know what type shift kits are used in these? what im doing is building a transmission for a spare for my company trucks and i bought this core.. it had some cool shit in it,, the beast sun-shell, this little valve,, i have not been in the v/b yet to see if it has been molested or not.. but i need a stock trans here and i think im in trouble..

i would buy another ppump if it for stock rebuild sonnax has a picture of all the stock lockup valve line ups on there website and watch the tcc valve in the valve body too

Are you sure that the main valve is plastic? I have seen superior kits use something very similar to what you are talking about but the main valve is a composite metal. If the trans had a pink 1-2 accumulator spring and a blue pr spring I would say it is a superior kit. Vince

dose it shut off the lock-up in converter?

those kits are for re-routing the fluid path into the converter for a non lock-up converter application.
IF you install a lockup converter into a trans with those non lockup kits installed... Soon as the engine is started , the converter clutch is applied.... it is all about oil flow paths

No the lock up still works. If I remember correctly it helps reduce or eliminate the pwm function of the lockup clutch. Basically removes the pulsing of the oil and makes into an on/off system.
