I have talked to a couple of guys on this board who recommended to go with an F2 over the F1R. I have talked with Procharger directly and also a local procharger specialist(although his was a A/W intercooled package) that both recommended the F1R. I had a buddy who has some connections at Procharger check pricing for me and he said his guy there also recommended the F1R. He stated because I have a small tire car the F1Rs more linear boost curve would be easier to handle. At this point I am looking to go non intercooled on my 18° 406. I should be able to drop the compression to just under 9:1. The heads are BMF 268cc with a 2.180 intake. All I am looking to do is put my 3200lb Nova in the 8.80 range. The car runs 9.70s N/A right now with 14:1 compression. Thanks for the input

F2 forsure. F1r makes a lot of heat needs to intercooled.

Thanks Jim, your a dealer for Procharger aren't you? Could you PM me a Price on a F2 setup for a SBC? If you need more info I will be glad to provide it. I am probably looking to get started on this project about the first of the year.

Thanks
Craig

Hey Paul would you mind giving any more details on your combo? Sounds like it could be real similar to where I want to be. Also I assume you run an alternator do you have any pics of how you have it set up? Thats the one thing I am still trying to figure out how to run an alternator and my vacuum pump.

Thanks
Craig

Hey Craig,
I vote for the F2. Less heat and stress on the blower to reach your goal. Plus a TON of room for growth down the road. Come over and check out some of the combo's on www.turbomustangs.com lots of good guys and good info over there too. Even a couple of the dorks that posted above hang out over there. J/K Tim and Paul.

BTW, cool name!

Hey Paul I saw on another thread you are running 18° heads as well. Our combos should be very similar. How big are the runners on the heads and what chamber size? What compression ratio did you end up with and what pistons? I also saw the thread on www.turbomustangs.com about cam size did you ever try a larger cam? Mine right now is set up running .782" and .736" with 1.7 intake and 1.6 exhaust ratios. I really don't want to buy new springs as these only have about a dozen passes on them. So I may see about a cam with some fairly substantial lift. How much boost do you typically run? Like I said I am only shooting to run the numbers you are now not any faster (at least for the time being) so I would be very interested in hearing about any issues/pitfalls you ran into. Feel free to PM me if you would rather not post it on the open forum.

Thanks
Craig

BTW Craig you have a cool name too lol
