I scooped one up a few years back that was out in the middle of a lake. She wasen't doing well, very skinny and weak so i got her in the livewell and stuffed a sunnie down her throat, put her back in the livewell for a few hours, she started to move around much better, so i released her and off she went. It was about a 6lb'er and should have been around 7-8.
Did my good deed that year..:)

If you ever make it up this way again and have time we can head up to where them smallmouth are at. JeffC on this board took me there last year and we landed around 20 smalls between 4-6#'s. That one is a little over 5 pounds.

Its a recall item on the motor that failed. Thankfully I had a kicker motor to get back to the docks. Boat dealers make car dealers look like superstars :p:p

i went out the other day with a my buddy's about 40-50miles out in the atlantic. I dont know what we were fishin for but i dropped the line in with some kinda slimmy shit on the end, cracked open a beer, and then the reel went nuts!
I then realized it was either putting the beer down and picking up the poll or sitting down and enjoying the beer.

Needless to say my friend caught a big ass white marlin. It was almost 35lbs, i didnt really pay attention after that
