Ive have a P1SC Procharger carb blowthru setup for a SBC. 10lbs pulleys 6 rib
I bought it used. I've seen 9 psi constant on a chassis dyno .
When Im on the street or at the track it will read 5psi and jump to 7 during shifts and then back to 5. After the vehicle is warmed up , the belt will slip at start up briefly.

The belt doesnt look bad visually. I have set the tension as instructed by tightening the tensioner until the spring has bottom out and backed off a little.
Though I havent readjusted the belt after its warmed up.

I havent talked to procharger yet. I wanted to get some feed back from others
that have experienced this problems.
I have been thinking of getting the 8 rib pulleys.

You really need to put a cog drive system on your blower and be done with it. No slippage with one of those. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear.

Best to call procharger. I think a 6 rib belt only good for low boost .

i've been lucky in the sense i run a 12 rib belt on my street car and have had no slippage problems. it's been good for 18# boost. Cog is obviously the cure all though.

The renegade guys run 8 rib as tight as a guitar string. I don't think it's possible for a 6/8 rib belt to be too tight. Not positive though  ... because I run a cog!

I was just reading the replys and realized I must have been smoking the crack pipe when I posted my question. I stated 6 rib. Nope. I currently have 8 rib pulleys and was looking at going to 12 rib.

I know the renegade guys have a support bar(they call it a strut) between the crank and the blower pulley so they can go crazy on belt tension and not take out the #1 main bearing.
I like the cog idea, but have read that the bearings in the P1SC cant take the abuse from a cog.

Thanks for the replys.

i know you wont believe this but my F1 is mounted on my orig. P1SC brkt and i'm still using the same tensioner tightened per
ATI's mark without any problems.
