Hello, I know this is a VP forum but I have been using Sunoco Standard (110 Octane) in my combo and would like to know if that is correct.

13:1 406ci SBC w/ a Big Shot Kit

What other info would you like?

Thanks!!

You've been pretty lucky so far. I would wager you're not running a ton of timing. I don't care who's 110 you are running, I wouldn't spray that much on it. The Standard would be fine naturally aspirated at 13 to 1. I would suggest going to the Sunoco Supreme if you are gonna keep spraying the Big Shot kit. If you wanted a VP product, I would recommend C16. You could run more timing and put more nitrous to it. Maybe get that beast in the 9.50's. Thanks for the question.

Jason, thanks! When on the unit, it was around 30 degrees the last time out.

I'll sell the last of my drum and get some Supreme.

Jason, I'm ganna put big jets in it in a few weeks. My local dealer only has Sunoco and above you recommended Supreme (112) - do you think I should step it up to Maximal (116)?

How does Maximal compare to C16? I would prefer to use C16 as you suggested but it's just not available right now.

Thanks.

Go ahead with the Maximal, but just go on the rich side. Maximal is a lighter fuel and will burn quicker. Just creep up on it. Don't throw the beans at it right away.

Thanks,
Jason
