Hey Jason, Glad to see you got your own spot on here. I was thinking of e-mailing you any way with this question after reading an article in a mag. Do you think the 110 in the "burg" is too much for our little flat top stroker with 10.5 - 11:1 comp? I figured I would get it started. Again congrats on the forum, Steve

Jason, I bought my a 55 gallon drum of VP116 and was wondering if it goes bad over time. I run a pump gas car and use the 116 to up the compression when I use heavy shots of NOS. It is sealed tight, but it is going on a year old.
Thanks

Hey steve, yeah, the 110 at the burg will be fine. I'm gonna try to get Kevin to put some of ours in there, but I belive price will be an issue. Hey, I didn't forget you, I still have your shirt ready to go.
Adeeos,
Heres what I do with my C16. Even though it's not mandatory, I put my drum up on a couple of 2 by 4's to let air circulate under it. I have never seen condensation inside one of our drums, but It doesn't take that long to put one up on boards. Plus we have crazy temp swings here. I have actually tested some C12 that was sealed for 8 years and it still checked perfect on the DC meter. I belive this is due to the lined drum. A standard steel drum will have a tendency to rust over time. C16 will stay good sealed up for at least a couple of years. I wouldn't be scared of using it.

Hey guys and gals.
My name is Jason Rueckert and I am the Regional Manager for VP Racing Fuels Midwest in Terre Haute, Indiana. I have been employed with VP since May of 1999. I have been a bracket racer since 1993 and a heads up guy since 2003. Here is my purpose of setting up a tech section. I have been trolling the bullet for a year of so. I also post occasionally. Fuel is a wierd deal. People have plenty of misconceptions of how fuel works and it's properties. Also, how to pick the correct fuel for their application. Anyway, I don't profess to be a know it all, or a scientist, Hell I'll learn a ton from you guys. I just want to help save you money and run faster. Now I don't mean call me and ask for sponsorship or super pricing:D I can just relate my experiences over the years of being in the business. Once again, I'm not here to push my product or try to get you to switch from your current brand, I just want to help keep you satisfied with your program and keep you on the track. Now, feel free to call me at VP anytime between 8-5 M-F Eastern time. 812 466 1175. If I can't answer a question, I'll find someone who can.
Thanks again for letting me have this section.

PS. If you do need to buy fuel I have plenty of great dealers in the midwest, and if you are out of my area I can get you in touch with the office that services your area.

Jason that would be cool if they can keep the price at $4.60 like it is now. Good luck with the forum, thanks Steve

Take it back to the dealer you got it from, or I can grab it at the next race.
Steve,
That's what I was saying, VP 110 is gonna be a bit more pricey than the Citgo 110 that Kevin has. He'd have to sell it for 6 bucks or so I believe. We'll see what happens over the winter.
