alright i have a 74 camaro that has been back halved with ladder bars and coil overs and 31-18.5-15 tire. problem is its got old (like 20 years old) coil and shock in the rear and its stiff as hell. what would i want to run in my car weighing 3300 lbs and a sbc? i'm thinking of going smaller tire also.
and what do you guys run for front "stock" suspension?

thanks

I talked with a LOT of folks for my LB 66 Chevelle. I just bought a set of Double Adjustable Vari-Shocks for the rear. I have not had a chance to get them on yet, so I cant get you a before/after, but ANYTHING has got to be better than the Junk thats on it now.

for the front I just bought a set of the Motoso Trick Springs, for the front & I have not decided on the shocks yet, they are the "3 click" "adjustables". I think that I will prolly go for a single adjustable Vari Shock for that (if they are available) or the bolt in QA1's.

BTW, 3500 Lbs @ Race weight, BBC, Cast Iron heads, TOO much weight up front.

i like anything double adjustable i prefer the koni's .how long is the shock(mount to mount) in it now at the ride height you want?we usually run a double adj. coilover up front , fab up some a-arms and modify the chassis to accept the coil over.

8212-1126-spa-1 koni will work great for you.it is a double adjustable 6" stroke dragrace shock.

this might be a stupid question but whats the street ability on that shock or does it not matter?

also is it just the 'shock' or is it a coil over?

and whats the price usually on these? like 300ish a piece or something?

it is a coil over, list is usually about 350 a piece.streetabilty is not a problem but as with all suspension parts they do wear.If you see your 60' dwindle it my be time for a rebuild. On average(all be it in a trailer)most guys that hit all their races will put 10,000 miles on their cars in a season if they don't take the shocks off for travel.
