I want to check the resistance of my plug wires. How much resistance is considered good? I have a set of Taylor 409's.

Thank you.

I had a set of Taylor 409's in my car. I was going through some electrical issues a couple years ago and my motor builder recommended changing to MSD wires. The MSD wires had a lot less resistance when compared to a 409 wire the same length. I still had electrical issues after I made the change but the MSD's seamed to be better based on my Ohm meter.

Thanks for the replies....

How much resistance should I expect from the Taylor 409's?

Thank you.

i couldnt get a set of msd to last for crap.

the morosos seem to be holding up a lot better, and the oms are alot better than msd. the msd new are not what they are advertised. at least the 6 sets i went through

Taylor 409's have tested @ 300 ohms per foot. The core is extremely small, though. It is a good wire , and has excellent protection against heat, ozone, gas/oil, and abrasion. Here are some pics. One still has to strip the insulate down to terminate with the terminals. Here is a comparison againt the 8.5mm FireCore50

Thanks for the comparison shot there Rick!
Answers the age-old 'Where's The Beef?' question.
No wonder the life-span and performance is fantastic!
