Is there an average for power loss in a typical Th400 regular gears built for racing with an 8" convertor

Its hard to give an average due to the amount of variables involved.
If you take the converter out of the equation we can look at some losses that you will have inside the transmission, but to my knowledge they have never really accurately been documented. I have seen numbers given(guessed at) but it then depends on the rear axle ratio and the transmission ratios.
I have heard averages of 25-50hp.
