Ive read the reading nitrous plugs deal many many times, in fact I printed it out and will have it with me at the track.Thats an awesome write up.

My question is..when your initally setting up your system and making tune-up changes is it best to go to a fresh set of plugs on each pass till you get it dialed in?? Example..Lets say i went out and made a pass and it showed excessive heat on the strap, then I made my adjustments and went and made another run, would i still be reading the heat on the strap from the previous run? Or will it be a fresh accurate reading?

what about the fuel ring? do you get a new ring regardless of what happened on the previous pass?

Sorry for the lame questions.

I recommend you replace the plugs after each pass. Mark all the plugs and save them. Often I find myself rushed for time and cannot spend the time needed at the track to read them thru and thru. So I do a read as best as I can and start tuning. After the day is over and you have some time.. Analyze your timeslips.. spend a lot of time looking at plugs and the data you recorded for them.. Once the tune up is all set use these plugs..

Some like to use the same set of plugs and it is OK.. As long as they are on the cold side.. Once heat is put on the strap.. They will become very hard if not impossible to read by timing marks. Plugs are a small expenses on your overall project.. Only problem with this is you cannot go back to see what affects took place while moving the timing and/or fuel.. That is critical data..
