I'm looking at a Lunati #50236 solid roller, 287-295 @ .050, .758/.739 113 deg.
It would be going into my BBC 427. 13:1, w/rect. port 840 heads that have been extensively ported and have 2.25 and 1.94 valves. I don't have any flow #'s on them unfortunately. I currently have a flat tappet Crane .63/.63. Looking to step it up for next season. Is this too much for this "little" motor? The car is a '80 Camaro, back halved, 4.56 gear, 4500 stall, 3200 lbs., 32 x 16.5 tires. I was planning a 200 shot and am thinking it will need a looser convertor. Any thoughts?

Not unless it's going in a 1600 pound dragster!!!

I'll take that as a yes. In your experience, what would be a good choice for these
heads? Or is this tough to say without flow #'s? Thanks for your reply.

That cam is miles to big for a 427 cid engine unless you want to turn it say 9500 RPM. Looks like someone gave you a *NOS* cam recommendation! LOL

Custom engines take custom cams especially in very specific applications.

Good Luck.
